About Us - Bright Years Learning Center, League City Daycare

Co-Owners and Co-Directors of Bright Years Child Learning Center, League City, Texas

Iris Ochoa

I welcome you to our facility! I have worked in child care for 9 years and in the public school system since 2000. I acquired both a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at El Paso with a minor in Spanish and an Associates Degree in Elementary Education. I love children; I have been an advocate for children all my life. Each child is unique, and the early years of life are critical to their long-term development. Our number one priority at Bright Years is to provide a loving nurturing environment where children can reach their fullest potential. My commitment to you is to provide a safe, clean, and superior quality educational program based on your child’s needs. I believe in professionalism, communication, parent involvement, and team work. I am looking forward to answering any questions and providing the highest quality care for your child in a setting where your child's social, physical, emotional and intellectual development will be nurtured. Welcome to our family!

Thank you for your interest in Bright Years Learning Center! As a health care professional, I am very excited to be a part of your childrens growth and development during an important time in their lives. I have worked as a substitute teacher and in a daycare center while attaining my college degrees. I attended the University of Texas at El Paso where I earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in psychology. Soon afterwards, I returned to earn a second bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse. I served three years in the Cardiovascular Step-Down Unit at Columbia West Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Furthermore, I gained valuable experience in childrens health issues while working as the head school nurse in an elementary school. Recently, I served 4 years as head nurse in the cardiovascular intermediate care unit at The Methodist Hospital. I will work hard to ensure that Bright Years Learning Center will provide a warm, nurturing environment that is clean and safe for your children. I will also keep abreast of the latest childrens health issues to ensure that you are aware of current trends in child health care. I look forward to working with you and answering any questions you might have regarding our program. Welcome to Bright Years Learning Center!
